Originally from South Africa, Mariamne has traveled and lived in many countries, including England, France, Canada, Israel, Holland and India. Dance Education became her major, during which she studied Aromatherapy, Herbal Medicine, Crystal Healing, the Alexander Technique and Joan Wulfsohn's Cellular Recall therapy. She completed a Higher National Diploma in Dance, a Bachelors Arts Degree in Arts Practice & Cultural Policy, and the U.K’s second Feldenkrais Professional Training Programme, (1990 - 1994). Mariamne choreographed Contemporary Dance for schools, youth clubs and Theatre groups. She trained schoolteachers for 'Dance in the National Curriculum' in the U.K, and directed performances for two Youth Dance Theatre companies. In-between studies and teaching, she created a Jewelry Business and started practicing Aromatherapy. In 1997, she studied Pranic Healing, became a Flower Essence Therapist . In 1999, Mariamne founded Shamanessence, a small business that provides unique environmental products for alternative healing and well being. The product's are the synergy of Aromatherapy and Flower Essence Therapy, designed for private, professional and home use. Mariamne's healing art's practice has been motivated with the desire to learn and share knowledge to people interested in self improvement with multi-dimensional approaches. Mariamne Wulfsohn has taught classes seminars and workshops in Holland, England, India and the U.S.A. She presently teaches Neuro Muscular Re-Education at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing, and continues to practice Structural Bodywork, Flower Essence Therapy and Energetic Healing. A weekly open class of Movement Therapy based on the Feldenkrais Method is currently scheduled and ongoing in Venice and Santa Monica, California.
